Postdoctoral fellow @
Vascular Development
Matouš Glanc graduated from the Charles University in Prague, Czechia in 2014. In 2019, he defended his PhD carried out in the lab of prof. Jiří Friml at the Institute of Science and Technology Austria, after which he joined Bert De Rybel’s group as a postdoctoral researcher funded by EMBO and Marie Curie fellowships. The main research interest of Matouš is cell polarity, which he studied in relation to trichome morphogenesis in his undergraduate studies, and in the context of asymmetric localization of the PIN transporters of the phytohormone auxin during his PhD. In the Vascular Development team, Matouš is looking for links between inherent cell polarity and cell division orientation and novel cellular regulators of these processes.
