  • Through the VIB Genetic Service Facility: integrated high throughput robotic genetic screening platform, built around a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and comprising:
    • two 96-capillary sequencers (ABI3730XL, Applied Biosystems) for sequencing and microsatellite genotyping
    • Roche FLX Genome Sequencer
    • a MassARRAY Nanodispenser and Compact Analyzer (Sequenom) and a PSQTM HS96A System (Biotage) for SNP genotyping
    • Biomek FX and NX robots for pre- and post-processing of templates
  • Tools to conduct large-scale functional analyses of plant genes (see also the section gene function discovery)
  • Design and production of spotted arrays for genome and transcriptome analysis
  • Microarray analysis (Agilent, Affymetrix, Tiling; see also the Microarray Facility)
